Spend five months in Tel Aviv building media and art skills while experiencing life in the cultural hub of Israeli soceity. Return home with a marketable background in fields such as photography and film, and graphic design. Whether you want to explore a new career path or learn for fun, Zoom Israel is about enriching yourself and finding inspiration in the Land of Milk and Honey.

Orientation Programming

The first two weeks of the Zoom Israel experience are dedicated to adjusting to life in Israel and kick start your immersion. Ulpan is an intensive Hebrew immersion experience, exclusive for Israel Pathways participants from around the world. Ulpan will be offered on different levels so that participants with different levels of background in Hebrew will be accommodated.

Core Skills Programming

The rest of the experience is dedicated to learning a media or technology skill of your choice. Participants can choose between tracks that include photography, film, and graphic design. For participants interested in picking up multiple skills, take both courses at the same time on the Zoom Plus track. Each skills course is taught by local professionals in training centers that service Israeli students as well. Each class is typically offered 3 days per week for about 8 hours per day, totalling 250-300 hours per session. Participants taking Zoom Plus will be in class full-time. Most nights and weekends are free for you to experience Tel Aviv nightlife and travel with friends. More details about the courses are described below.

Travel Experiences

In addition to learning cutting edge media/technology, the Zoom Israel program includes a series of educational programs and tours in the Tel Aviv area and beyond. These enrichment experiences are scheduled throughout the program and are designed to expose you to contemporary Israeli society, the intricacies of Jewish history, and the stunning beauty of Israel's ecology on a deeper level than a typical tour. They are also meant to be a lot of fun. These excursions are led by our own professional guides, and all of the travel expenses are included. In addition to day trips, the program covers weekend-long trips to the Galilee, the Negev Desert and, of course, Jerusalem -- where we stay at hotels and guest houses. Evening programs such as speakers, presentations, and organized social nights are also scheduled periodically. Two free weeks are included throughout the five month session for you to explore Israel on your own!
